Engineer It is a Computer-Aided Design event, where
participants have to design a CAD model in any software of their choice within
the stipulated time, based on the simple topics given and by abiding to the
rules of the event.

Rules and Guidelines
The competition will be conducted in GMeet.
The total duration of the competition will be precisely 60 minutes. (No extra time will be given).
Participants may use any 3D modelling software (Solidworks, Catia, Fusion360, Creo, FreeCAD. Except Blender)
The topics are mentioned below and the participants may practice their design beforehand.
The whole design process should be screen recorded and sent by mail. Tab switching is prohibited except to look at dimensions from a 2D sketch.
Participants will be added to a WhatsApp group a week prior to the date of the competition where they may clarify their doubts with the event coordinators.
• The competition will be conducted in two rounds.
• Round I will be topic specified and the general rules are to be followed strictly by the participants. (Topic given below)
• All students will be informed about the status of selection for Round 2 within a week.
• Round 2 will be based on an on-spot topic. The 2D sketch will be sent through the mail.
ROUND 1:
1. Piston cylinder
2. Geneva Mechanism
3. Bevel gear and pinion
4. Worm gear and rack pinion
(Judging criteria: Presentation, Constrained Dimensions, Efficient use of Software)
Note: Standard 3D parts available in the software shall not be used in the design throughout the competition.
Students may use the OBS screen recorder or any other screen recorder of their choice.
The file must be kept safe and sent as proof of your design along with the parts and assembly file (in .STEP format) in a single zipped file with your full name as the file name.
